The heart and soul of any magazine is its letters page.

For an `international` magazine in an `international city` with a large number of foreign residents, a letters page is doubly important - it is one way in which foreign and Japanese residents can really communicate with each other in a public forum. So, let`s open some windows and let in some fresh air.

This letters page is a neutral forum for debate and opinion. Go-Fubar.Magazine does NOT in any way endorse the opinions expressed here.

To spell it out; we may strongly disagree with the content of a letter but still think it expresses a point of view worth opening to public scrutiny.

So if a letter makes you angry, write a reply!

Guidance for letter writters:

Reader`s letters should be sent to "letters@go-fubar.com" or faxed to 092 735 7933.

We will print a selection of them in the magazine and online. We reserve the right to edit letters for brevity and spelling. Deadline: 5th of the month.

Although we will withold your name if requested (there are occa-sions when this is justified) - the highest priority will be given to suc-cinct letters which carry a name. If you feel you can`t have your name printed with your letter, please send a clear explanation as to why. (Of course: avoid mere "gaijin whinging" - yes, "they do things differently here".)®
